COVID-19 – Going back to work
Quad-based wet labs are permitted to transition to Phase-1 (preparing for reentry) of the ramp-up plan, beginning on Monday, June 8th. A transition to Phase-2 (when labs return to low density research activity) will be determined by the Department Chair on an individual lab basis. Please check with your PI or lab Covid-19 safety officer If you are unsure of which phase you are scheduled to return.
What you can do now:
COVID-19 Safety Training
All lab personnel and support staff members are required to complete Covid-19 safety training, before returning to HMS in Phase 1 or 2. If you are listed as part of your lab’s ramp up process, you must take this training before you will be allowed to reenter the campus, even if you have been working during the shutdown.
All researchers (faculty, postdocs, graduate students and research staff) must take Lab COVID-19 Awareness Training. Click here to access the course on the Harvard Training Portal (HTP; https://trainingportalinfo.harvard.edu/) (Harvard key login required). Trainees can click the Enroll button to add it to your profile.
Nonresearch staff members should take the General COVID-19 Safety Awareness training.

Questions or Concerns? If you have any questions or concerns regarding the ramp-up process, please discuss them with your lab’s COVID-19 safety officer. Please don’t hesitate to contact Susan Carlson (Microbiology Covid-19 Safety Officer) or Sims Kochi, if you have additional questions.
